We are pleased to announce that the Verdi Requiem will go ahead as planned on the weekend of 18-19 September, 2021 at the Tatachilla Lutheran College in McLaren Vale.
If you would like to join the audience for this monumental work, PUT SUNDAY 19 SEPTEMBER IN YOUR DIARY NOW – tickets will go on sale shortly. If you would like to register to join the choir, you can do so here.
Extra staging will be in place to accommodate the choir — which at last count was in excess of 200 singers — in a suitably spaced arrangement.
However, due to the closure of the Adelaide Festival Centre during the period of our planned Adelaide performance, we have made a decision, in conjunction with our collaborators, Adelaide Youth Orchestra and Adelaide Philharmonic Chorus, that AdYO will present Verdi Requiem in the smaller Adelaide Town Hall on 25 September 2021.
As it is not possible to accommodate a chorus of 200 as planned on the Adelaide Town Hall stage, AdYO will instead present the work with the smaller forces of APC and Fleurieu Singers, the two choirs that have committed as a whole to the project.
All singers registered for the Adelaide performance have been contacted by email. If you need to contact us regarding your registration, please do so by email
